Mental Health Care for a Better You
Providing personalized care to help you thrive.
Providing personalized care to help you thrive.
I provide medication management services for adults age 18 and up. I encourage all patients to continue regular therapy with your therapist. If you don't already have one, I can make a recommendation. I take a personalized and collaborative approach to each patient's care, tailoring treatments to meet your unique needs. I use evidence-based practices to help you achieve your mental health goals. I do not prescribe any opiates including buprenorphine, nor any benzodiazepines.
Areas of Focus
Kristie has worked in the medical field since 2000 and has been practicing psychiatry since 2014. She has worked at several local hospitals, primarily in neurology and the operating room. She attended the University of Florida before transferring to NC State to complete her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. She earned her Master of Physician Assistant Practice from Campbell University.
Kristie is passionate about educating the patient regarding their mental health conditions, medications, and lifestyle treatments to improve mental health. She believes in a collaborative approach and hopes to guide the patient to make informed decisions about their care. She treats depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders and ADHD. She also has a unique understanding of alcohol use disorders. She has a strong desire to get to know her patients well. She has enjoyed the honor of watching quite a few patients blossom into their own strong and fulfilling lives. She enjoys working with patients from diverse backgrounds including those within the LGBTQ community.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors doing nearly anything from running, hiking, cycling, swimming, playing pickleball, and paddling.
I offer telehealth appointments. You must be physically located in the state of North Carolina during your appointment. I am only licensed in NC.
For telehealth visits, you will need a very strong connection (even stronger than you would need for streaming and gaming). Please avoid driving during our video calls. If you are outdoors but near a building, make sure you are using 5g as opposed to wifi.
I am accepting new patients and have availability within one week.
If you need to talk to someone right now: Call 988 or text 988. For life-threatening emergencies, call 911 and ask for a CIT (Crisis Intervention Team) Officer. They have special training.
Mobile crisis teams are available in all counties in NC.
I pride myself on a patient-centered approach. I listen to your concerns, validate your experiences, and collaborate with you to achieve your mental health goals. Your voice matters, and together, we can create a path towards healing and personal growth.
